Abstract

A total of 203 specimens belonging to 31 reptilian species (lizards, snakes, turtles) living in Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) were investigated for the presence of cryptosporidiosis. However, no cryptosporidial infection was found. The data concerning the reptilian cryptosporidiosis up to the present has been summarized and discussed.

Özet

Türkiye ve Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk Cumhuriyeti (KKTC)'nde yaşayan toplam 31 sürüngen türüne (kertenkele, yılan, kaplumbağa) dahil 203 örnek cryptosporidiosis açısından gözden geçirilmiş ancak herhangi bir bulguya rastlanmamıştır. Sürüngenlerde cryptosoridiosis ile ilgili bugüne değin elde edilen veriler özetlenmiş ve tartışılmıştır.
