Abstract

This study was carried out on domestic geese (Anser anser domesticus) in the central villages of Konya from January 2000 - January 2001. Macroscopic examination of the entire gastrointestinal systems of 94 geese and microscopic examination of fecal samples from 345 geese were performed. Various parasite species were determined in 41.48% of the geese. Eimeria spp., Heterakis gallinarum, Amidostomum anseris, and Trichostrongylus tenuis were detected at rates of 39.62%, 28.35%, 15.09%, and 5.66%, respectively, during the macroscopic examination of gastrointestinal system. The fecal samples were examined using the Fulleborne salt saturated flotation and Benedek sedimentation methods. There were parasites in 64 (18.55%) fecal samples.

Otopside kazların %41.48'i çeşitli parazit türleriyle enfekte bulunmuştur. Eimeria sp.'nin %39.62, Heterakis gallinarum'un %28.35, Amidostomum anseris'in % 15.09, Trichostrongylus tenuis'in %5.66 yaygın olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Dışkıların Fülleborn doymuş tuzlu su flotasyon ve Benedek sedimentasyon teknikleri ile muayenelerinde 64 kazın (%18.55) çeşitli parazit türleriyle enfekte oldukları belirlenmiştir.
