Primer Hydatid cyst under thoracolomber fascia in the dorsolumber region: Case report

Abstract

In this paper, a hydatid cyst located in the posterior of the erector spinal muscle and in the inferior of thoracolumbar fascia is presented. Multiple cystic structures were seen in the magnetic resonance (MR) scanning and it seemed to be a malignancy or cystic abscess, radiologically. The indirect hemagglutination test (IHA) and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) test for hydatid cyst were found to be significantly positive (1/8000 titers). The cysts were removed intact by surgery. The female patient was given albendazole therapy for 6 months. She was followed-up for one year. The serological tests became negative and no abdominal or dorsal cysts were seen during the one-year period.

Özet

Bu çalışmada, erector spinal kasın arkasında ve thorokolomber fasyanın altında yerleşimli, karaciğer veya akciğer tutulumu olmayan Hidatid kist sunuldu. Magnetik rezonans görüntülemede radyolojik olarak malignite veya kistik apse görünümü veren birden fazla kistik yapı izlendi. Hidatid kist için IHA ve ELISA test anlamlı şekilde (1/8000 titre) pozitif bulundu. Kist bütün olarak membranları yırtılmadan cerrahi operasyonla çıkartıldı. Hastaya 6 ay albendazol tedavisi verildi ve l yıl izlendi. Serolojik testler negatifleşti ve bir yıl içinde sırt bölgesinde veya abdominal yerleşimli başka kist gözlenmedi.
