Determination of weed species in pistachio (Pistacia vera L.) orchards in the Southeastern Anatolia Region of Turkey

Abstract

hi order to determine the weed species of pistachio orchards in the southeastern of Anatolia, the research was performed between 1997 and 1999.253 weed species from 37 different families were identified as a result of research. From these 124 species are annual and 129 species are perennial weed.Angiospermae 35 species belong to Monocotyledones and Dicotyledones. The distribution of these in phytogeographic regions are as follows: (115 species) 45.45% Irano-Turanian,(27 species) 10.67% Mediterranean, (2 species) 0.79 % Euro-Siberian, (109 species) 43.09% unknown and multiregional compounds. The number of endemic species is 18 and endemism rate 7.1%. The largest families according to their species number in the research area are as folows: Leguminosae 22.1% (56 species), Cruciferae 11.1% (28 species) Gramineae 6.7% (17 species), Compositae5.9% (15 species) and Ranunculaceae 5.53% (14 species).

Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi fıstık bahçelerinde sorun olan yabancı ot türlerini saptamak amacıyla yapılan bu çalışma, 1997 ve 1999 yılları arasında yürütülmüştür. Bu amaçla yapılan çalışmalar sonucunda, 37 farklı familyaya ait 253 yabancı ot türü saptanmıştır.Tesbit edilen bu türlerin 124 tanesi tek yıllık, 129 tanesi ise çok yıllık yabancı ot türüdür. Angiospermlerden 35'i Monocotyledones, 218'de Dicotyledones sınıfina aittir. Türlerin fitocoğrafik bölgelere göre dağılımı şöyledir :İran-Turan elementleri (115 tür) %45.45, Akdeniz elementleri (27 tür) %10.67, Avrupa-Sibirya elementleri (2 tür) %0.79, bilinmeyenler ve çok bölgeli olanlar (109 tür) % 43.09'dir. Endemik tür sayısı 18 olup endemizm oranı %7.1'dir. İhtiva ettikleri tür sayısına göre, çalışma alanındaki büyük familyalar ; Leguminosae %22.1 (56 tür), Cruciferae %11.1 (28 tür), Gramineae %6.7 (17 tür), Compositae %5.9 (15 tür) ve Ranunculaceae %5.5 (14 tür)'dir.
