Factors associated with functional and cognitive improvement in patients with stroke after rehabilitation

Abstract
Objective: In this study, we evaluated the factors associated with the functional outcome in patients rehabilitated after stroke. Materials and Methods: Thirty hemiplegic patient, admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation program, were recruited to the study. The functional status was evaluated by the Functional Independence Measure (FIM), ambulatory status by the Rivervead Mobility Index (RMI), motor impairment by the Brunnstromstages, and cognitive impairment by the Mini-Mental Test (MMT) on admission and discharge. Amaç: Bu çalışmada rehabilite edilen inmeli hastalarda fonksiyonel ve mental iyileşme ile ilişkili faktörlerin belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: İlk defa serebrovasküler olay geçirmiş ve rehabilite edilmek üzere yatırılan 30 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. Tedavi öncesi ve sonrası fonksiyonel durumu Fonksiyonel Bağımsızlık Ölçümü (FBÖ) ile, ambulasyon düzeyi Rivermead Mobility İndeks (RMİ) ile, motor değerlendirmesi Brunnstrom evrelemesi, kognitif fonksiyonları ise Mini-Mental test (MMT) ile değerlendirildi.
