Abstract
External morphology of the eggs of Coronus contrarias Reuter, 1881 (Heteroptera: Reduviidae) The eggs of Coronus contrarias Reuter, 1881 were studied with light and scanning electron microscopes. The females were collected Ankara-Şereflikoçhisar, Evren town (Turkey) and maintained under laboratory conditions. Eggs were laid singly in cotton batting and were usually well seperated from each other. The cylindirical-shaped eggs are in average 1.8+0.01 mm long and 0.7+0.01 mm wide. Eggs have slightly concave and convex side. There is a cap region in the end of egg. Operculum is located in the cap region. A micropylar opening is found in the middle of operculum. Egg bursters are membranous structures.
