Abstract
This research was conducted in totally nine olive orchards from three villages during 2001-2002 in Mut district of Mersin province in where pesticide application is nearly absent. Population change of adult, infestation ratio and injury level in the leaf, flower and fruit generations of Prays oleae Bern, were determined in the olive orchards. By using pheromone traps, it was observed that adult population of P. oleae was the highest in second generation and lower in third generation in 2002. Although ratio of the olive fruits having larva entrance holes was high (60 %), the fruits with larva exit holes was interestingly very low (14 %). Yield loss due to the olive moth was 3,2-5,4 %.
Özet
Bu araştırma, Mersin İli Mut İlçesinde, üç köydeki toplam dokuz zeytin bahçesinde 2001-2002 yıllarında yürütülmüştür. Prays oleae Bern. (Lepidoptera: Yponomeutidaej'nin ergin popülasyon değişimi, yaprak, çiçek ve meyve döllerindeki bulaşıldık oranı ve zarar derecesi saptanmıştır. Feromon tuzakların kullanılmasıyla, P. oleae'nm ikinci döl ergin popülasyonu yüksek olduğu halde, üçüncü döl ergin popülasyonunun daha düşük olduğu görülmüştür. Larva giriş delikli meyve oranı yüksek (% 60) olmasına rağmen, larva çıkış delikli meyve oranının düşük (% 14) olduğu belirlenmiştir. Zeytin güvesinin neden olduğu ürün kaybı % 3,2-5,4 düzeyinde olmuştur.
