The problem of asbestosis in gediz region and çukurören village

Abstract
In the present study, the problem of asbestosis due to usage of white soil containing actinolyte asbest seen in Gediz region and Çukurören Village is reported. Çukurören Village is located at the ecosystem of Murat Montain. In this region, there are white soil mines run in the past. Currently the usage of white soil has decreased or almast left. However, white soil had been widely used in the past and is present nowadays at some old buldings. This is the reason for incidence of mesothelioma and asbestosis seen in this region.
Özet
Bu çalışmada Gediz bölgesinde ve Çukurören Köyü'nde saptanan ve aktinolit asbest içeren aktoprak kullanımına bağlı asbestoz sorunu araştırılmıştır. Çukurören Köyü Muratdağı ekosistemi içinde yer almaktadır. Çevrede eskiden işletilmiş aktoprak ocakları bulunmaktadır. Güncel olarak aktoprak kullanımı azalmış ya da büyük oranda terkedilmiştir. Bunun yanısıra, aktoprak önceden bölgede çok kullanılmış ve şimdi de kimi eski evlerde bulunmaktadır. Bölgede mezotelyomların ve asbestozun görülmesi buna bağlıdır.
