First report of Neoseiulus cinctutus (Livshitz & Kuznetsov) for Turkey, with an identification key for Turkish Neoseiulus Hughes (Acari: Phytoseiidae)

Neoseiulus cinctutus (Livshitz & Kuznetsov)’un Türkiye için ilk kaydı ile Türkiye’de Neoseiulus Hughes (Acari: Phytoseiidae) cinsi türlerinin tanı anahtarı

Abstract

Neoseiulus cinctutus (Livshitz & Kuznetsov) (Acari: Phytoseiidae) is reported for the first time for the Turkish fauna. This species is re-described and illustrated based on female specimens collected from Verbascum sp. (Scrophulariaceae) in Buldan municipality, Denizli Province. In addition, an identification key for species of the genus Neoseiulus Hughes found in Turkey is provided. This species is morphologically close to N. marginatus (Wainstein) and N. neomarginatus Stathakis, Kapaxidi & Papadoulis, known from the Turkish fauna. However, it is different by having a smooth movable digit as opposed to one tooth on the latter two species.

Özet

Neoseiulus cinctutus (Livshitz & Kuznetsov) (Acari: Phytoseiidae) Türkiye faunası için ilk kez kayıt edilmektedir. Bu türün yeniden tanımlaması ve çizimleri, Denizli, Buldan’dan Verbascum sp. (Scrophulariaceae) bitkisinden toplanan dişi bireyler üzerinden verilmiştir. Ayrıca Türkiye’de bulunan Neoseiulus Hughes türlerinin teşhis anahtarı oluşturulmuştur. Bu tür, daha önce Türkiye faunası için bilinen N. marginatus (Wainstein) ve N. neomarginatus Stathakis, Kapaxidi & Papadoulis türlerine morfolojik olarak benzemekte olup, N. cinctutus’un chelicera hareketli parçasında diş bulunmazken, diğer iki türde de bir diş bulunmaktadır.
