Physician, patient, colleagues: Referral and consultation

Abstract

Defining the factors affecting the identity of a physician may be the first step for an objective assessment of the doctor-patient and doctor-doctor relationship and to adress the principal rules to suit. Consultation and referral is a process of relationship and communication where -at least-two doctors assess a third person; the patient. The article includes examining the identity of a physician, criticism directed towards the physician, the paramedical aspects of the physician's identity, the responsibilities of the physician for oneself, consultation and referral in family medicine and the answers to questions as "What are the ways of accessing a physician in Turkey? What are the things we should do and avoid in helping our patients?

Özet

Hekim kimliğini oluşturan etmenleri tanımlamak hekimin hastası ve meslektaşları ile ilişkilerinin nesnel bir gözle değerlendirilmesinde ve uyulması gereken temel kuralların belirlenmesinde ilk adım olabilir. Konsültasyon ve sevk, -en az- iki hekimin bir üçüncü kişiyi, hastayı değerlendirdikleri bir ilişki ve iletişim sürecidir. Yazı, hekimin kimliğini, hekime yöneltilen eleştirileri, hekim kimliğinin hekimlik dışı öğelerini, hekimin kendine karşı sorumluluklarını, aile hekimliğinde sevk ve konsültasyonu incelemekte, "Türkiye'de hekime nasıl gidilir? Hastalarımıza yardımcı olmak için ne yapmalı/nelerden kaçınmalıyız?" sorularına cevap aramaktadır.
