Implementation of the hague convention on the civil aspects of international child abduction, problems encountered and suggestions for solution

Abstract
Although the number of international child abduction cases increasing day by day in Turkey, its importance has not been duly considered both in practice and academia. Therefore, in this article, following the explanations about the general framework of the Convention, the implementation of the Convention by Turkey will be discussed and the problems encountered in practice will be underlined. Futher, the possible so- lutions for the problems arising from the application of international child abduction convention will be underlined.
Özet
Türkiye açısından uluslararası çocuk kaçırma vakalarının sayısı gün geçtikçe art- masına rağmen konunun öneminin teoride ve uygulamada yeterince kavranamadığı gerçeği gözetilerek, bu çalışmada öncelikle Uluslararası Çocuk Kaçırmanın Hukukî Veçhelerine Dair Lahey Sözleşmesi’nin genel çerçevesi, çizilmiş, Sözleşme’nin Türki- ye tarafından uygulanması anlatılmış ve sonrasında anılan Sözleşme’nin Türkiye tara- fından uygulanmasında karşılaşılan sorunlara değinilerek bu sorunlara çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalışılmıştır.
