Enumeration of Escherichia coli 0157:H7 by using immunomagnetic separation and ATP bioluminescence in buffer solution

Abstract

In this study, immunomagnetic separation and ATP bioluminescence methods have been combined and used in enumeration of the bacteria Escherichia coli 0157:H7 in sterile buffer solutions. As a result, a high correlation coefficient (r=0.8303) between the ATP bioluminescence assay and Escherichia coli 0157:H7 count was found as an acceptable value for such a study.

Özet

Bu çalışmada; immunomanyetik ayırma yöntemi ile ATP biyolüminesans yöntemi birlikte kullanılarak, Escherichia coli 0157:H7 bakterisinin tampon ortamlarda sayımı yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, ATP biyolüminesans ölçümü ile Escherichia coli 0157:H7 sayımı arasında yüksek bir korelasyon katsayısı (r=0.8303) bulunmuştur.
