Chronic effects of linear alkyl benzene sulphonate (LAS) given by oral route on the levels of glucose, total bilirubine and urea in serum and liver of rats

Abstract
In this study, it was examined the chronic effects of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonate (LAS) given by oral route, on the levels of glucose, total bilirubine and urea in serum and liver of rats. It was concluded that LAS in doses of 0.002 % (0.14 mg/kg) and 0.005 % (0.35 mg/kg) may be unimportant in rats because it created non-toxic chronic effects and chronic toxicologic effects of LAS for rats occur in doses of 0.01 % (0.7 mg/kg) and 0.03 % (2.1 mg/kg) and 120. days after the application.
Özet
Bu araştırmada ratlara oral olarak verilen Linear Alkil Benzen Sülfonat (LAS)'ın serum ve karaciğerdeki glukoz, total bilirubin ve üre düzeyleri üzerine kronik etkileri incelenmiştir. Bu çalışmada LAS'ın %0.002 (0.14mg/kg)'lık ve %0.005 (0.35mg/kg)'lık dozlarının ratlarda kronik olarak herhangi bir toksisiteye neden olmayacağı ve ratlar için LAS'ın kronik etkilerinin %0.01 (0.7mg/kg) ile %0.03 (2.1mg/kg) dozlarında ve 120.günden itibaren gerçekleştiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
