Chronic effects of linear alkyl benzene sulphonate on serum and liver enzyme activites in rats

Abstract
In this study, the chronic effects of Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulphonate (LAS) given by oral route, were examined on alanin transpherase and aspartate transpherase enzyme activities in serum and liver of rats. it was concluded that LAS in doses of 0.002% (0.14 mg/kg) and 0.005% (0.35 mg/kg) may not create toxic effects in rats and chronic toxic effects of LAS for rats occur in doses of 0.01% (0.7 mg/kg) and 0.03% (2.1 mg/kg) and in 120th days following the application.
Özet
Bu araştırmada ratlara oral olarak verilen Linear Alkil Benzen Sülfonat'ın (LAS) serum ve karaciğerdeki alanin transferaz ve aspartat transferaz aktiviteleri düzeyleri üzerine kronik etkileri incelenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, LAS'ın %0.002'lik (0.14mg/kg) ve %0.005'lik (0.35mg/kg) dozlarının ratlarda kronik olarak herhangi bir toksisiteye neden olmayacağı ve ratlar için LAS'ın kronik etkilerinin %0.01 (0.7mg/kg) ile %0.03 (2.1mg/kg) dozlarında ve 120. günden itibaren gerçekleştiği sonucuna varılmıştır.
