A case of lichen planus actinicus treated with galvanotherapy

Abstract

Background and observations.- Lichen planus actinicus, a variant of lichen planus, is characterized with papules that show annular configuration with slightly elevated borders and distinctive violaceous discolorotaion on the sun exposed parts of the skin. Treatment largely consists of topical or systemic steroids and retinoic acid. We present a 20 - year old man treated with galvanotherapy.
