Abstract
The tombstone texts, known as Yenisei (Enisei) inscriptions, found in Khakasia and Tuva regions, near the Yenisei river banks, contain unique information about the social life of the ancient Turkic society. The tombstone Ochury (E-26), which was found in 1857 by N. A. Kostrov near the Yenisei (Enisei) river basin, was published by Radloff, Orkun, Malov, BatmanovSubrakova, Vasilyev, Tekin and Kormushin previously. This paper is an attempt for the re-reading and re-interpretation of this tombstone text.
