Anaesthetic approach to burned child with mastocytosis

Abstract
Mastocytosis is characterized by infiltration of mast cells to the tissues andincludes a wide spectrum of clinical entities. Mast cells are instrumental inmediating anaphylaxis and patients with mastocytosis are at risk to developprovoked and unprovoked episodes of anaphylaxis. The clinical outcome maybe bening or aggressive. Their perioperative management involves a multidis ciplinary approach. In this case report, we present perioperative anesthetic management of a patient with mastocytosis.
Özet
Mastositoz, mast hücrelerinin dokulara infiltrasyonu ile karakterize genişbir hastalık grubunu içerir. Mast hücreleri, anafilaksi oluşumunda etkiliolduğundan, mastositozlu hastalarda anafilaksi ataklarının oluşma riskiartmıştır. Klinik gidiş ılımlı veya agresif olabilmektedir. Perioperatif idare,multidisipliner yaklaşımı gerektirir. Bu olguda mastositozlu bir hastadakiperioperatif anestezi yaklaşımından bahsedilmektedir.
