Bir invaziv timoma olgusu

Abstract

The early diagnosis and treatment of anterior mediastinal neoplasms for example; lymphoma, thymoma, mesenchymal tumors and germ cell tumors is very important for the survival of the patient. A woman with a major complaint of nonproductive cough whose computerised thorax tomography showed anterior mediastinal mass underwent median sternotomy for investigating the nature of the mass. The histopathological diagnosis was established as invasive thymoma. We presented this case, because of showing an invasive tumor have a chance of resectability and we intent to emphasize that there is expectancy of high survival rate in early stage thymoma.

Özet

Timoma, lenfoma, mezankimal ve grem hücreli tümörler gibi ön mediasten kaynaklı kitlelerde erken tanı ve tedavi sağkalım açısından çok önemlidir. Kliniğimizde kuru öksürük yakınması ile başvuran kadın hastada akciğer radyografisi ve toraks bilgisayarlı tomografi ile ön mediastende invaziv kitle görüldü. Bu kitlenin, natürünün saptanması için cerrahi girişimde total eksizyon yapıldı ve histopatolojik olarak invaziv timoma tanısı kondu. Bu olguyu, invaziv bir tümörün rezeke edilebilirlik şansı bulunduğunun gösterilmesi ve timomanın erken evrede saptanmasının tedavi ve sağkalım üzerine olası katkısını vurgulamak için sunuyoruz.
