The case with giant hamartoma originated from chest wall

Abstract
A 21 year old man was admitted to the hospital with swelling on his left scapular region. He expressed that the swelling had occurred in his third age and increased as he got older. Physical examination revealed an erytematous, swollen, and wide plaque form mass lesion, on the left scapula which was at the dimension of 250 x 180 mm. Thorax CT revealed tumoral lesion in left hemithorax wall which destructed the of 3rd rib, and gave rise to the new bone growing and asymmetry in thorax by infiltrating surrounding soft tissues, and decreased left lung volume. Pathological findings referred to soft tissue hamartoma. After the diagnosis established, the patient underwent to J thoracotomy.
Özet
Olgumuz 21 yaşında erkek, sol kürek kemiği üzerinde şişlik şikayeti nedeniyle yatırıldı. Bu şişlik yaklaşık 3 yaşından itibaren ortaya çıkmış ve yaşının ilerlemesi ile birlikte büyümüştü. Sol hemitoraks skapula üzerinde 25 x 18 cm boyutlarında eritemli, deri seviyesinden kabarık ve geniş plak tarzında lezyon izlendi. Akciğer grafisi ve bilgisayarlı toraks tomografisinde sol hemitoraks arka duvarında 3. kaburgayı destrükte ederek strüktürünü bozan ve ileri derecede yeni kemik oluşumuna neden olan, çevre yumuşak dokuları infiltre ederek toraksta asimetri doğuran ve sol akciğer volümünü azaltan plevraya uzanım gösteren tümoral lezyon izlendi. İnsizyonel biyopsi ile alınan materyal, patolojik inceleme sonucunda yumuşak doku hamartomu olarak raporlandı. Sol posterolateral J torakotomi ile tümoral kitle tamamen rezeke edildi.
