Haemoglobin and tranferrin types in Çine type sheep

Abstract
Haemoglobin and transferrin types were investigated in Çine type sheep. Separation of transferrin (Tf) and haemoglobin (Hb) types was carried out using horizontal starch-gel and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, respectively. Three Hb A and 59 Hb B types, and 5 transferrin alleles (A, B, M, D, E) were isolated from Çine type sheep. Eight Tf phenotypes consisting of 3 homozygote types (Tf AA, Tf MM, Tf DD) and 5 hetorozygote types (Tf AM, Tf AD, Tf AE, Tf BD, Tf MD) were detected.
Özet
Bu çalışmada Çine Tipi koyunlarda hemoglobin tipleri nişastajel, transferrin tipleri ise poliakrilamid JeI elektroforez kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Çine Tipi koyunların 59 adedinde HbB tipi 3 adedinde ise Hb A tipi tespit edilmiştir. Transferrin tipleri olarak da üçü homozigot (Tf AA, Tf MM, Tf DD) ve beşi heterozigot (Tf AM, Tf AD, Tf AE, Tf BD, Tf MD) olmak üzere toplam sekiz fenotip belirlenmiştir.
