A Study on The Nutrient Status of Starking Delicious Apple Cultivar Grown in Erzincan Plain

Erzincan Ovasında Yetiştirilen Starking Delicious Elma Çeşidinin Beslenme Durumunun Belirlenmesi Üzerinde Bir Araştırma

Abstract

This research was carried in 1993 and1994, in order to determine the nutritional status of the orchards established with S.Delicious apple cultivar in Erzincan plain. In this research, 20 apple orchards was selected and soil and leaf samples taken from the orchards in August. According to the analysis, at the experimental site s soils, pH ranged from 7.38 to 7.95, lime ranged from 0.89 to 13.05%; organic matter 0.24 to 3.07%; P ranged from 1.1 to 25.00 ppm; K ranged from 61 to 731 ppm; Zn ranged from 1.2 to 3.6 ppm and Mn ranged from 3.9-15.0 ppm. The soils generally were suitable for apple production in terms of texture. However, most of soils were in sufficient in terms of organic matter, P and Mn. On the other hand, N and especially Zn and Mn were found not to be adequate in the leaf samples.

Özet

Erzincan ovasında 1993 ve 1994 yıllarında yürütülen bu araştırmada, Starking Delicious elma çeşidi ile kurulu bahçelerin beslenme durumunu ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada 20 elma bahçesi seçilmiş ve bu bahçelerden Ağustos ayı içerisinde yaprak ve toprak örnekleri alınmıştır. Yapılan analizlere göre araştırma bölgesindeki toprakların pH değerleri 7.38-7.95; kireç içeriği %0.89-13.05; organik madde içeriği %0.24-3.07; P içeriği 1.1-25.00 ppm; K içeriği 61-731 ppm; Zn içeriği 1.2-3.6 ppm ve Mn içeriği ise 3.9-15.0 ppm arasında bulunmuştur. ncelenen toprakların genelde tekstür bakımından elma yetiştiriciliğine uygun olduğu belirlenmiştir. Toprakların çoğunda organik madde, P ve Mn noksanlığı belirlenmiştir. Diğer yandan yaprak örneklerinde de genelde N ve büyük ölçüde Mn ve Zn noksanlığı tespit edilmiştir.
