Abstract
This paper focuses on capacity building in private hospitals that are turning out as an important component of the health system and, by going over legislative arrangements related to the status of private hospitals, examines changes in legal basis and legislation given effect to promote private hospitals and private hospital services.

Bu yazıda özel hastaneler ile ilgili yasal düzenlemeler gözden geçirilerek giderek sağlık sisteminin önemli bir bileşeni haline gelen özel hastanelerin bir yandan kapasitesinin geliştirilmesine; diğer yandan da niteliksel değişimine olanak sağlayan ve özel hastanelerin ve hastaneciliği teşvik edilmesi sürecinde oluşturulan hukuksal altyapı ve mevzuat değişiklikleri incelenmeye çalışılmıştır.
