An approach to the modular line balancing problem for an apparel product with graph theory

Abstract

Considering the general meaning of the assembly line balancing problem, it is possible to describe it as an assignment problem. Workers are assigned to the tasks available on the line by basing on the priority relationships among each other. In this present study, it is aimed to solve the problem of modular line balancing by means of the mathematical approach and to use graph theory for the production of an apparel product. In this study, how to balance the line are examined by using Graph Theory is studied and it is seen that is possible to allocate to task for each worker for the same period.

Özet

Montaj hattı dengeleme problemi genel içeriği itibariyle bir atama problemi niteliğindedir. İş görenler, hat üzerindeki görevlere birbiri arasındaki öncelik ilişkilerine dayandırılarak atanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada modüler hat dengeleme probleminin matematiksel yaklaşım ile çözülmesi ve Graf Teorinin bir konfeksiyon ürünü üretimi için kullanılması amaçlanmaktadır. Graf Teori kullanılarak hattın nasıl dengelenebileceği incelenmiş ve görev dağılımı yapıldığında her iş görene eşit surede iş yüklemeleri yapılabildiği görülmüştür.
