Abstract
Yemen came gradually under the Ottoman dominance since 1517 but the fact that it was far from the capital and as a result of the political conflicts, the dominance expected was not that strong. For this reason, some clans in Yemen rebelled against the administration. Forcing the masses to follow them, they directed the public for their goals. So, the administration of the Ottoman state existed indirectly in Yemen leaving the power to the local rulers. Around 1840's, together with the interest of the Europeans in Yemen, Yemen drew attention of the Ottoman Empire one more time. They reestablished its existence in Yemen and made military operations to Yemen. Consequently, Yemen was affiliated to the capital again and the reconquest of Yemen was in everyday's talks. This verse concerning Yemen's reconquest was also written following the military achivements in the region.
