ANALYSIS OF ASTHMA DISEASE IN SOCIAL SECURITY INSTITUTION RECORDS FOR BETWEEN 0 AND 18 YEARS OLD

Abstract

In this study, by examining the individuals in the age range 0-18 who were diagnosed with asthma in the Social Security Institution (SSI) Medula Hospital and Medula Pharmacy records, the profi le of asthma in children in Turkey has been created. Using association analysis, other illnesses that can arise with asthma have been analyzed. In order to create a profi le for the amounts of drug expenditures, a classifi cation model was created with CHAID algorithm from decision trees. The frequency of asthma has varied between 1-3%. Asthma disease is more common in men. It has been observed that among the children between 0 and 18 years of age, both the frequencies and proportions of asthma diagnosis are bigger in 0-4 and 5-9 years-old groups. It has been seen that the asthma prevalence is more in the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Aegean Regions. In 2013, 653,417 prescriptions were written with asthma report codes and the average cost of these prescriptions to the Social Security Institution was found to be 56,7181 ± 47,0566 TL. As the age increases, it has been observed that the amount of drug expenditures for asthma has increased

Bu çalışmada, Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu (SGK) Medula Hastane ve Medula Eczane kayıtlarında astım tanısı alan 0-18 yaş aralığındaki bireyler incelenerek, çocuklarda astım hastalığının Türkiye'deki profi li oluşturulmuştur. Astım hastalığının hangi hastalıklarla birlikte görüldüğü birliktelik analizi ile analiz edilmiştir. İlaç harcamalarının tutarlarına yönelik profi l oluşturmak amacıyla karar ağaçlarından CHAID algoritması ile bir sınıfl ama modeli oluşturulmuştur. Astım hastalığının görülme oranlarının %1-3 arasında değişim gösterdiği görülmüştür. Erkeklerde astım hastalığı daha çok görülmektedir. 0-18 yaş aralığındaki çocuklarda 0-4 ve 5-9 yaş aralıklarında astım tanısı alanların sayısının ve görülme oranlarının daha fazla olduğu gözlenmiştir. Astım hastalığının görülme oranının en çok Akdeniz, Karadeniz ve Ege Bölgeleri'nde olduğu görülmüştür. 2013 yılında 653.417 adet astım rapor koduna sahip reçete yazılmış olup, yazılan bu reçetelerin Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu'na ortalama maliyeti 56,7181±47,0566 TL olarak bulunmuştur. Yaş artıkça astım hastalığı için ilaç harcama tutarlarının arttığı görülmüştür
