Abstract

Objective: To determine the patients’ attitudes who applied to the outpatient clinic towards having leftover drugs at home and the rational drug use. Material and Method: This descriptive study was conducted with 200 patients who applied to an outpatient clinic of a hospital in Bilecik/Turkey. The Socio-demographic Form and Rational Drug Use Scale were used to collect data. Findings: The mean score obtained from the scale was 34.76±5.39. The number of leftover drug at home of 58% of the patients is between 1-5. It was found that there is a significant relationship between the scale and education status, living place, regular drug use, having information about the storage conditions, reading the prospectus, checking the expiry date, and the unused drugs attitudes (p

Amaç: Polikliniğe başvuran hastaların evlerinde artık ilaç bulundurma durumları ve akılcı ilaç kullanımı konusundaki tutumlarının değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı tipteki bu çalışma, Bilecik/Türkiye’de bulunan bir devlet hastanesinin polikliniğine başvuran 200 hasta ile yapılmıştır. Veriler Sosyo-demografik Form ve Akılcı İlaç Kullanım Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Hastaların akılcı ilaç kullanım ölçeği puan ortalaması 34,76±5,39’dur. Hastaların %58’inin evlerinde 1 ile 5 arasında artık ilaç bulunmaktadır.
