DEVELOPMENT OF ORGANISATIONAL ATTRACTIVENESS SCALE: THE VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY STUDY

ÖRGÜTSEL ÇEKİCİLİK ÖLÇEĞİ’NİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ: GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale that can measure the attractiveness of schools according to teacher opinions. In this context, an item pool that can explain organizational attractiveness based on the literature has been evaluated by field experts. As a result of the evaluation, a draft scale consisting of 11 items was applied to 140 teachers working in six schools in Ankara. The validity of the scale was tested with Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). EFA showed that Organizational Attractiveness Scale (OAS) has a one-factor structure. OAS explains % 64 of the variance. DFA has pointed that the one-factor scale’s goodness of fit indexes has “perfect”. Also it is determined that the item discrimination of the scale is high. Cronbach’s Alpha internal consistency coefficient showed that the scale is highly reliable. As a result of these findings, it was concluded that the OAS is a valid and reliable scale that can determine the level of attractiveness of schools in Turkey.

Özet

Bu çalışmada öğretmen görüşlerine göre okullarının çekicilik düzeyini ölçebilecek bir veri toplama aracının geliştirilmesiamaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda, alan yazına dayalı olarak örgütsel çekiciliği açıklayabilecek maddelerden oluşan bir maddehavuzu alan uzmanları tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Değerlendirme sonucunda on bir maddeden oluşan taslak ölçek Ankarailinde altı okulda görev yapan 140 öğretmene uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliliği Açımlayıcı Faktör Analizi (AFA) ve DoğrulayıcıFaktör Analizi (DFA) ile sınanmıştır. AFA, Örgütsel Çekicilik Ölçeği’nin (ÖÇÖ) tek faktörlü bir yapıya sahip olduğunu ortayakoymuştur. ÖÇÖ, varyansın % 64’ünü açıklamıştır. DFA tek faktörlü ölçeğin uyum iyiliği değerlerinin “mükemmel” uyumu işaretettiğini göstermiştir. Ayrıca ölçeğin madde ayırt ediciliğinin yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Cronbah Alfa iç tutarlılık katsayısıise yüksek güvenilirliği ifade etmiştir. Bu bulgular sonucunda, ÖÇÖ’nün Türkiye’deki okullarda öğretmenlerin okullarını nedüzeyde çekici bulduklarını belirleyebilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
