DENIZLI HEALTH SERVICE IN PERIOD OF THE NATIONAL STRUGGLE

Abstract

The National Struggle Period includes an important period in which all material and spiritual possibilities are mobilized to preserve the existence and independence of the Turkish nation. In this period, as well as being in many parts of Anatolia, the resistance against the occupation started under the leadership of Mufti Ahmet Hulusi Efendi in Denizli. Due to the extraordinary circumstances of the period; Factors such as Supply, Logistics and Health Services have had a significant impact on the outcome of the National Struggle. In this research, it was aimed to thematically investigate the establishment and work of the Health Services, Denizli National Hospital in Denizli during the National Struggle Period and the activities of Red Crescent Society in Denizli and art zone. In this context, the Independence War Report, Red Crescent Archive Documents, Red Crescent Activity Reports and printed periodicals were examined. As a result of the research, the mentioned institutions and organizations will try to put forward the services they performed in the field of health in both frontal and maritime centers and accidents during the failure of the invasion movement that occurred in Denizli and its environs.

Milli Mücadele Dönemi, Türk ulusunun varlığını ve bağımsızlığını korumak için maddi ve manevi tüm olanakların seferberedildiği önemli bir dönemi içerir. Bu dönemde, Anadolu’nun bir çok yerinde olduğu gibi, Denizli’de de Müftü Ahmet HulusiEfendi önderliğinde işgale karşı direniş başlamıştır. Dönemin olağanüstü şartları sebebiyle; İkmal, Lojistik ve Sağlık Hizmetlerigibi hayati öneme sahip faktörler Milli Mücadele’nin sonucunu önemli ölçüde etkilemiştir. Bu araştırmada, Milli MücadeleDönemi’nde Denizli’de gerçekleştirilen Sağlık Hizmetleri, Denizli Memleket Hastanesi’nin kuruluşu ve çalışmaları ile Hilal-iAhmer Cemiyeti’nin Denizli ve art bölgesindeki faaliyetlerinin tematik olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda,İstiklal Harbi Sıhhiye Raporları, Kızılay Arşiv Belgeleri, Hilal-i Ahmer Cemiyeti Faaliyet Raporları ve basılı eserler incelenmiştir.Araştırma sonucunda, sözü edilen kurum ve kuruluşların, Denizli ve çevresinde vuku bulan işgal hareketinin başarısızlığauğratılması sürecinde, hem cephede hem de Denizli merkez ve kazalarında sağlık alanında yaptıkları hizmetler ortaya konmayaçalışılacaktır.
