Teachers' Views About the Appropriateness of New Curriculum for Teaching-Learning Processes of Science Education in Acquiring its Aims

Fen Bilgisi Öğretimi Amaçlarının Gerçekleştirilmesinde Yeni Programın Öğretme-Öğrenme Süreçleri Boyutunda Uygunluğu Konusunda Öğretmen Görüşleri

Abstract

In this research, the elementary science curriculum that was executed in 2001- 2002 education term, was examined according to its appropriateness for teachinglearning processes of science education and was examined by depending on the views of teachers who have been executing this programme. The research was done through making an inquiry to 100 teachers who have taught science at 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 th grades at 46 elementary schools selected randomly in Çorum province and Sungurlu town. Among the statistical methods, percentage, frequency and arithmetical average was used in analyzing the data from the research. At the end of the research, it was concluded that the teachers found this new science education curriculum appropriate for teachinglearning processes of science education in acquiring its aims.

Özet

Bu arastırmada, 2001-2002 ögretim yılında uygulamaya konulan ilkögretim fen bilgisi dersi ögretim programının, fen bilgisi ögretimi amaçlarının gerçeklestirilmesinde ögretme-ögrenme süreçleri boyutunda uygunlugu, programı uygulayan ögretmenlerin görüslerine baglı olarak incelendi. Arastırma, Çorum il merkezinde ve Sungurlu ilçesinde bulunan 46 ilkögretim okulunda 4., 5. ,6., 7. ve 8. sınıf fen bilgisi dersini okutan 100 ögretmene anket uygulanarak gerçeklestirildi. Arastırmadan elde edilen verilerin analizinde istatistiki yöntemlerden yüzde, frekans ve aritmetik ortalama kullanıldı. Arastırmanın sonucunda, ögretmenlerin ilkögretim fen bilgisi ögretimi amaçlarının gerçeklestirilmesinde yeni fen bilgisi ögretim programını ögretme-ögrenme süreçleri boyutunda uygun buldukları belirlendi.
