EVALUATION OF SEKKÖY (TKİ-GELİ) COAL WASHING PLANT PERFORMANCE

Abstract
In this study, TKİ-GELİ Sekköy coal washing plant’s performance was evaluated. Fractional washability values were used for the performance evaluation. For this purpose, representative samples were taken from pre-determined points on the flowsheet at the washing plant and then screen analyses, sink and float tests and ash analyses were done to the sized particles. Fractional Tromph curves were drawn for each equipment (Drewboy and Larcodem) and fractional Ep and d50 values were calculated. Cut of density was determined as approximately 1.5 g/cm3 for Drewboy and approximately 1.8 g/cm3 for Larcodem. It was determined that Ep value was 0.050 for Drewboy while Ep value was 0.225 for Larcodem. It can be said that fractional Ep value was in the limit (0.12<Ep) for Drewboy but it was higher than the acceptable limit for Larcodem showingthat higher cut point deviation has a negative effect on the product quality for this equipment.
Özet
Bu çalışmada, TKİ-GELİ Müessesine ait Sekköy Lavvarının performansı değerlendirilmiştir. Performans değerlendirmesinde fraksiyonel yıkanabilirlik değerleri kullanılmıştır. Lavvarda; Drewboy teknesi ve Larcodem ayırıcısındaki tüvanan kömür, yüzen mal (lave, temiz kömür) ve batan malzemeden (şist) temsili numuneler alınmış, alınan numunelere elek analizi yapılmış, elekfraksiyonlarına yüzdürme-batırma testleri uygulanmış ve her test sonucu elde edilen ürünlerin kül analizleri yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler ile her bir ekipman (Drewboy teknesi ve Larcodem ayırıcısı) için fraksiyonel Tromp eğrileri çizilmiş, fraksiyonel Ep ve d50 değerleri hesaplanmıştır.Drewboy teknesinin kesme yoğunluğu yaklaşık olarak 1,5 g/cm3, Larcodem ayırıcısında ise yaklaşık olarak 1,8 g/cm3 olduğu saptanmıştır. Drewboy teknesinin Ep değeri 0,050 iken Larcodem ayırıcısının Ep değeri ise 0,225 olduğu saptanmıştır. Drewboy teknesinden elde edilen fraksiyonel Ep değerinin sınırlar içinde olduğu (0,12<Ep) ancak Larcodem ayırıcısında ise gözlenen kesme noktası kaymasının ürün kalitesine olumsuz etkisi olduğu saptanmıştır.
