Abstract

Objective: In this study, it has been aimed to investigate the effect of psychiatric nursing education on the relationship between beliefs and attitudes towards mental illnesses in nursing students. Methods: This study is a descriptive relational study. The data have been obtained from 201 senior students from nursing department who have completed psychiatric nursing clinical practice. The data have been collected by using introductory information form, Scale of Beliefs Towards Mental Illness, Social Attitudes Scale for People with Mental Problems and Psychiatric Nursing Education Evaluation Form. Descriptive statistics and structural equality modeling have been used in the analysis process. Amaç: Bu araştırmada, hemşirelik öğrencilerinde ruhsal hastalıklara yönelik inanç ve tutum ilişkisinde psikiyatri hemşireliği eğitiminin etkisini araştırmak amaçlanmıştır.Yöntem: Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı ilişkisel bir çalışmadır. Veriler hemşirelik bölümü son sınıf psikiyatri hemşireliği klinik uygulamasını tamamlamış 201 öğrenciden elde edilmiştir. Veriler tanıtıcı bilgi formu, Ruhsal Hastalığa Yönelik İnançlar Ölçeği, Ruhsal Sorunlu Bireylere Yönelik Toplum Tutumları Ölçeği ve Psikiyatri Hemşireliği Eğitimini Değerlendirme Formu ile toplanmıştır. Analiz işleminde tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılmıştır.Bulgular: Psikiyatri hemşireliği eğitimi ile psikolojik problemleri bulunan kişilere yönelik tutumlar arasında negatif yönlü ve zayıf bir korelasyon saptanmıştır (p
