Legend in Hammid Musaddik s poetry

Abstract

It is revealed on scrutiny of Iranian culture and history that the presence of legends in the poems by Iranian poets is not a new phenomenon. Symbolic language in modern poetry, the undeniable contribution of legends in making this language richer, the familiarity of the poets with the poetry and legends of other nations are among the factors that allowed the extensive use of legends in modern poetry. In this article, Modaddeg s method in benefiting from the frequently mentioned myths in modern poetry and the traits of this method are discussed and the myths used in his poems are presented. In addition, it is brought to light what each of these myths mean in the poet s own symbolic language and how congruent they are with their original meaning.

Özet

İranlı şairlerin şiirinde efsanelerin varlığının yeni bir şey olmadığı İran kültür ve tarihine ışık tutulduğunda açıkça görülecektir. Çağdaş şairlerin şiirlerindeki sembolik dil, bu dilin zenginleştirilmesinde efsanelerin yadsınamaz katkısı, şairlerin başka ulusların şiir ve efsaneleriyle olan aşinalığı ve şiirin siyasi ve toplumsal fonksiyonları, çağdaş şiirlerde hat safhada efsanelerin kullanılmasına olanak sağlayan faktörlerdendir. Bu makalede, Musaddıkın çağdaş şiirde sıkça geçen mitlerden faydalanma yöntemi ve bu yöntemlerin nitelikleri incelenmiş, şiirlerinde kullandığı mitler ortaya konulmuştur. Ayrıca bu efsanelerden her birinin şairin kendi sembolik dilinde ne anlam teşkil ettiği ve söz konusu efsanelerin kendi asıl anlamlarıyla ne kadar uyum içerisinde oldukları gözler önüne serilmiştir.
