THE EFFECT OF TECHNOLOGY USE LEVEL ON JOB SATISFACTION: A RESEARCH ON ACCOUNTING PROFESSIONALS

TEKNOLOJİ KULLANIM DÜZEYİNİN İŞ TATMİNİ ÜZERİNE ETKİSİ: MUHASEBE MESLEK MENSUPLARI ÜZERİNDE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Professional accountants tend to do their jobs quickly and without errors by using more and more packagedcomputer programs, and they are even obliged to do it. For this reason, the problem sentenceof the study is “Does the level of technology use of accounting professionals have an effect on theirjob satisfaction?” forms. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of technology use levels ofprofessional accountants on their job satisfaction. For this purpose, in the study, in which the quantitativeresearch method was used, data were collected from 263 professional accountants active inKahramanmaraş city center by questionnaire method. The data were analyzed statistically. Accordingto the results of the analysis, it has been determined that the technology use levels of professionalaccountants have a positive effect on job satisfaction.

Özet

Muhasebe meslek mensupları her geçen gün daha fazla paket bilgisayar programları kullanarak işlerinihızlı ve hatasız yapma eğilimi, hatta zorunluluğu içerisinde kalmaktadırlar. Bu nedenle, çalışmanınproblem cümlesini “Muhasebe meslek mensuplarının teknoloji kullanım düzeylerinin iş tatminleriüzerine etkisi var mıdır?” oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, muhasebe meslek mensuplarının teknoloji kullanımdüzeylerinin iş tatminleri üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusundanicel araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı çalışmada, Kahramanmaraş il merkezinde aktif faaliyetgösteren 263 muhasebe meslek mensubundan anket yöntemiyle veri toplanmıştır. Veriler istatistikselolarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre muhasebe meslek mensuplarının teknoloji kullanımdüzeylerinin iş tatmini üzerinde olumlu etkisi olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
