TÜRK MUHAFAZAKÂR-LİBERAL SİYASÎ DÜŞÜNCESİ ALİ FUAD BAŞGİL (1899-1967)

Abstract

Ali Fuad Başgil (1899-1967) is one of the most outstanding intellectuals influenced on transition from the case of the virtual to the actual in Turk Conservative-Liberal political thought. Başgil’ political thought suggested that specific features of conservative thought are treated and then, a nationalist and spiritualist thought emerges from this specific features; at the same time, he both strides through the world of Turkis-Islamic mindset (concepts, style of government, politics, the mode of socio-cultural life etc.) andgets around the world of liberal thought which became apparent in modern thought and times. Başgil adopted the inherited composition of of Turk-Islam mindset for many centuries; and also defended conservative, nationalist, spiritüalist opinons with liberal thoughts. That is to say, Başgil’s political thought is positioned around the composition of theory and practice.

Ali Fuad Başgil (1899-1967), Türk muhafazakâr-liberal siyasî düşüncenin bilkuvvehâlden bilfiil hâle geçmesinde etkili olan enönemli münevverdir. Başgil siyasî düşüncesinde,muhafazakâr düşüncenin belirli özellikleriele alınmakta, bu özelliklerden milliyetçilik vemaneviyatçılık düşüncesi ortaya çıkmakta; beraberindeTürk-İslâm zihniyetini arşınlamakta(ıstılahlar, yönetim biçimi, siyaset ve sosyo-kültürelyaşam biçimi vb.) diğer taraftan da moderndüşünce içerisinde belirgin hâle gelmişolan liberal düşünce dünyasında gezinmektedir.Başgil asırlardır tevarüs eden Türk-İslamzihniyet dünyası ve muhafazakâr, milliyetçive maneviyatçı düşünceyle liberal düşünceyiterkip etmektedir. İşte bu anlamıyla, Başgil’insiyasi düşüncesi nazarî olan ile amelî olanınterkibinin merkezinde konumlanır.
