Abstract

The first belief codes of humanity started from mythological ages. In the mytological ages some natural events paved the way in human mind for the belief that they realized by a secret power and these events caused the manifestation of various beliefs in human society. However, on the basis of this belief that respect to the power created by fear, holds an important place. Almost every people have created their own belief system and understanding of God. This understanding is not polytheism in Turks, it is heavenly. This understanding has manifested itself as polytheism in other communities around the world. The depths of the belief system of the Turkish nation and the traces of mythological understanding have found their reflection in historical and literary documents such as Orhon Monuments and Dede Korkut Epics. It is known that myth is the system of understanding the world and mythology is the branch of science related to it. Because of this feature, mythology has been likened to a mirror expressing the human soul world with symbols. God is an important source of inspiration for Turkish mythology. The sky is one of the most important elements that describe it. Sky has a very special place in Turkish cosmology and so far on this issue, in Turkey and other countries have made extensive research. The belief of the Turkish nation about the sky has found its reflection in language and literature since the mythological ages. Izzeddin Hasanoglu lived in the 13th century and was born in the İsfarayin / Esferayin region of Khorasan. He presented for the first time by our glorious scientist Fuad Köprülü as “Poet of Azerbaijan”. Only three of his Turkish poems and two Persian poems were known until now. One of these poems is a ghazal, which begins with the verse "Âpardı könlümü bir hoş gemer üz, cânfezâ dilber", which written by the Kıpçak poet Seyfi Sarayi when he translated the work of Persian poet Sadî, named "Gülistan". He added this ghazal to the back of his work. One of them begins with the verse "Aceb bilsem beni şéyda ġılan kim" published in "Mecmûatü'n-Nezâir ve Câmiu'n-Nezâir", and another was a poem published by Barbara Flemming which begins with the verse “Necǝsǝñ gǝl éy yüzi ağum bǝnüm”. She found this poem in a magazine in Egypt. But years ago, one of Hasanoglu's manuscript masnavis has found in Finland named “Kitâb-ı Sîretü’n-Nebî” which has 366 leaves and it brougt to Turkiye. About this work, three introductory articles were written by us in 2009 and these were published in Azerbaijan. I am working on this work as a "Doctor of Sciences" thesis in Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Literature. In this work, many expressions have determined related to the concept of Turk and the word sky in mythological ages and found that many of them live in Azerbaijani Turkish today. The work was written in 13th century Turkish and was copied in Istanbul approximately 500 years after it was written. It is a mesnavi that tells about the life of our prophet Hz. Muhammad and his struggle to spread Islam and the wars of Hz. Ali. I believe that the publication of this masnavi named “Kitâbı Sîretü’n-Nebî” and such expressions that take place in the work will bring great gains to our literature and language. In this article, we wanted to emphasize that the mythological approach to the sky in the old Turkish belief continues throughout history. We wanted to compare the mythological beliefs of the Turkish Nation and other foreign peoples about the sky and bring to the attention of the readers the expressions and understandings about the sky, reflected in the "Kitâb-ı Sîretü’n-Nebî" together with Anatolia, Azerbaijan and some other Turkish peoples.

Türklerin gökle ilgili anlayışı mitolojik çağlardan itibaren dilinde ve edebiyatında kendine has yer edinmiştir. Muhammed’in hayatı ve mücadelesiyle birlikte Hz.
