The Effect of Computer Assisted Learning Students Achievment in Biology Education

Abstract

Abstract This study has been realized that, in the education of science, the using of computer as a presentation of lesson, animation (3 dimensional), interactive drilling problem solving and evaluoting tool to determine the effect of accomp¬lishment of student. İn the study, a first - final test grouped model is applied and resticed in the experimentol field. Subjects of the experiment are formed from 9. class students of Anatolia High School. The study is realized during the first se¬mester of 2001-2002 years. In the application topics of Nücleicacids are being gi¬ven to control group by using traditionol methods and to experiment group by using computer aided education methods, later from the application of final test a retentivity test is applied to both groups: The results of the analysis of the da-tas obtained by application of tests are follows: The application is done by using computer as a presentation, of lesson, (demonstrastione, 3-dimensional animati¬on), interactive drilling-over again, problem solving and evaluating tool is mo¬re effective to provide student's success and retentivity in the learning than app¬lication is done by using troditional methods.

Özet Bu araştırma, Biyoloji öğretiminde bilgisayarın; ders sunu (canlandır¬ma, 3 boyutlu animasyon), etkileşimli alıştırma-tekrar, problem çözme ve de¬ğerlendirme aracı olarak kullanımının, geleneksel metotlara göre öğrenci başa¬rısına etkisini belirlemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada ön-son test gfuplu model uygulanmış ve deneysel alanda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Denekler, Anadolu Lisesi 9. sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma 2001 - 2002 yılının I. Döneminde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulamada kontrol grubuna, Nük-leik asitler konusu, geleneksel metotlar kullanılarak işlenmiş, deney grubuna ise bilgisayar destekli öğretim metodu kullanılarak Nükleik asitler konusu iş¬lenmiştir. Uygulama bitiminde gruplara sontest uygulanmıştır. Son test uygu¬lanmasından sonra gruplara kalıcılık testi uygulanmıştır. Testlerin uygulanma¬sından elde edilen verilerin analizi ile ulaşılan sonuçlar şunlardır: Bilgisayarın ders sunusu (canlandırma, 3 boyutlu animasyon), etkileşimli alıştırma-tekrar, problem çözme ve değerlendirme aracı olarak kullanıldığı uygulama, gelenek¬sel metotlann kullanıldığı uygulamaya göre öğrenci başarısını ve öğrenmede kalıcılığı sağlamada daha etkili olmuştur.
