Effect of First Aid Training Given Onto Elementary School Students' Knowledge Level

İlköğretim Öğrencilerine Verilen İlk Yardım Eğitiminin Bilgi Düzeyine Etkisi

Abstract

The study that a semi-experimental, was performed to expose the effect of first aid training given onto elementary school students' knowledge level about the subject. The study was performed onto 90 students they are studying in Elementary Schools of Başöğretmen Atatürk and Asil Nadir in constitution of Ministry of Education. It was used a questionnaire of first aid that improved by the researcher although beeing agree with the expert. It was given the first aid training onto students during two hours (90 minutes). The data collected thorugh the questionnaire that was apllied three times as before training and two weeks later and two months later than the training. The data obtained, evaluated by the test of variance analysis with repeated measurements on the computer. Mean of first aid knowledge point of the students are as follows, 51.3 ± 10.8 before training, 73.7 ± 13.8 two weeks later than date of the training given and 69.9 ± 14.8 two months later than date of the training given. The differences between the three measurements are found meaningful as statistically as a result of the repeated measurements (p< 0.05).

Özet

Bu çalışma, ilköğretim öğrencilerine verilen ilk yardım eğitiminin bilgi düzeyine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmış, yan deneysel bir çalışmadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Başöğretmen Atatürk İlköğretim Okulu ve Asil Nadir İlköğretim Okulu yedinci sınıfına devam eden 90 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ve uzman görüşü alman ilk Yardım Soru Anketi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilere iki saatlik (90 dakika) ilk yardım eğitim programı uygulanmıştır. Veriler eğitimden önce, eğitimden iki hafta sonra ve eğitimden iki ay sonra olmak üzere aynı anket ile üç kez toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, bilgisayarda tekrarlı ölçümlerde varyans analizi testi uygulanarak değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin eğitim öncesi ilk yardım bilgi puanlarının ortalaması 51.3 ± 10.8, eğitimden iki hafta sonraki ilk yardım bilgi puanlarının ortalaması 73.7 ± 13-8, eğitimden iki ay sonraki ilk yardım bilgi puanlarının ortalaması 69.9 ± 14.8'dir. Tekrarlı ölçümlerde tek yönlü varyans analizi sonucunda, üç ölçüm arasındaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bulunmuştur (p< 0.05).
