Opinions of Education Faculty Graduates Relating to Pedagogy Courses (The Sample of Nigde University)

Abstract

The purpose of educational faculties is to train qualified teachers for primary education and secondary education. One of the most important subjects at training a qualified teacher is the teacher training programs. In this paper, it was investigated utilization rates of students from pedagogy courses that are given in educational faculty programs. Related to the purpose, a survey was developed for graduates and the applied to 644 graduates. Survey results were analysed according to the departments of graduates. According to the data, it was found out that students had not utilized from the main courses of pedagogy courses. Suggestions based on the result of the research were reported.

Özet

Eğitim fakültelerinin amacı, temel eğitim ve ortaöğretime nitelikli öğretmenler yetiştirmektir. Nitelikli öğretmen yetiştirmede en önemli konulardan biri öğretmen yetiştirme programlandır. Bu çalışmada, eğitim fakültelerinde verilmekte olan eğitim bilimleri derslerinden öğrencilerin yararlanma oranlan araştı-nlmıştır. Bu amaçla, mezunlara uygulamak için bir anket geliştirilmiştir. Geliştirilen anket 644 mezuna uygulanmıştır. Anket sonuçlan, öğrencilerin mezun ol-duklan bölümlere göre analiz edilmiştir. Mezunlardan alman verilere göre, öğrencilerin eğitim bilimlerinin temel derslerinden yeteri kadar yararlanamadıkları bulunmuştur. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına dayalı olarak öneriler verilmiştir.
