The Roots of Tendency Towards the Ancient Turkish History in Republician Period Turkish Poetry

Abstract

Every period of Turkish history has been a subject for the Turkish poetry. A great part of subject matter has compaired Ottoman Empire up till the second constitution years. After this historical background and especially during the Republician Era, the historical period before the İslamization of Turks is also employed in the poetry. The first civilization founded by Turks, the geographies which became their settlements, statements and the name epic heroes were also employed. The poets of the period were influenced by some political and social events inferiority psicology felt by the society as a result of these events. A nostalgia were also among the themes which were worked out in the poems. In addition to these, the revolutions of Atatürk have developed ideas such as Turkism which was one of the ideologies of the period. Turkish historical thesis is one of the most important motivating factories of Turkish poetry.

Özet

Türk tarihinin her dönemi, Türk şiirine konu olmuştur. Örneğin Osmanlı tarihi, başlangıçtan II. Meşrutiyet yıllarına kadarki Türk şiirindeki tarih teminin büyük bir kısmım oluşturmaktadır. II. Meşrutiyetten sonra ve özellikle Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk şiirinde ise, Osmanlı tarihinin yanı sıra İslâm öncesi Türk tarihi de işlenmektedir. Bu şiirlerde, Türklerin kurdukları ilk medeniyetler, yaşadıkları coğrafyalar, devlet adamları ve isimleri destanlaşmış halk kahramanları ele alınır. Devrin şairleri, bazı siyasî ve sosyal olaylar sonucu toplumun yaşadığı inkıraz psikolojisi ve maziye özlem duygularıyla bu temalara yönelmişlerdir. Bunun yanı sıra Atatürk inkılapları, devrin önemli ideolojilerinden olan Türkçülük düşüncesi, Türk Tarih Tezi ve ilk defa hazırlanan tarih ders kitapları gibi belli başlı etmenler, şairleri Türklerin eski tarihlerine ait konulan şiirlerinde işlemeye yönlendirmiştir.
