Students opinions related to the drama method used in social studies lesson

Sosyal bilgiler dersinde kullanılan drama yöntemine ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri

Abstract

Using student and activity based teaching methods in social studies lesson is very important. One of the student and activity based methods in social studies is drama. The aim of this study is to examine students’ opinions on the implementation of drama method after experiencing with drama method in primary school at 7th class. This study is a qualitative research. Open ended questions constructed by investigator was used as data collection tool to take students’ opinions about drama method. Most of the students participated this study generally have positive impression of using drama method and told that they comprehended subject better with this method.

Özet

Sosyal bilgiler derslerinde öğrenci ve etkinlik merkezli öğretim yöntemlerinin kullanılması oldukça önemlidir. Sosyal bilgiler derslerinde öğrenci ve etkinlik merkezli yöntemlerden biri de dramadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı ilköğretim 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler dersinde drama yöntemi ile konu işlendikten sonra öğrencilerin uygulamaya ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma nitel bir çalışma olup veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen öğrencilerin drama yöntemine ilişkin görüşlerini ifade edebilecekleri açık uçlu soruların olduğu formlar kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışmaya katılan öğrenciler genel olarak drama yönteminin kullanımına olumlu bakmaktadırlar ve konuyu bu yöntem sayesinde daha iyi anladıklarını ifade etmektedirler.
