Students' views on the problems of bussed primary school implementation encountered by the students during the transportation process

Taşımalı İlköğretim Uygulamasında Öğrencilerin Taşınmaları Sürecinde Karşılaşılan sorunlara ilişkin öğrenci görüşleri

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the students’ perceptions about the problems appeared during the period of students’ transportation. The population of study performed by using descriptive scan model consists of 1270 bussed students in grades 6, 7 and 8 of 15 bussed primary schools in Suruç, the district of Şanlıurfa in 2010-2011 academic years. The sample consists of 400 stu- dents in four schools selected by random sampling. For the research, the ques- tionnaire is prepared by using the Ministry of Education’s Bussed Primary School Regulations and applied by considering the experts’ opinions. The data obtained from the students, the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t test, one- way ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis H test and Mann-Whitney U test were applied. The findings that are passengers are rarely taken to the vehicles, as a result, some students are standing in their journey; drivers are rarely angry with stu- dents have been concluded.

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, taşımalı ilköğretim uygulamasında öğrencilerin taşınmaları sürecinde karşılaşılan sorunlara ilişkin öğrenci görüşlerini belirle- mektir. Betimsel tarama modeli kullanılarak yapılan çalışmanın evrenini 2009- 2010 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Şanlı Urfa’nın Suruç ilçesinde taşıma merkezi olan 15 okulda, 6. 7. ve 8. sınıfta okuyan 1270 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise bu okullardan tesadüfî örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen dört okuldaki 400 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma için MEB Taşımalı İlköğretim Yönetmeliği’nden ve uzman görüşlerinden yararlanılarak bir anket hazırlanmış ve uygulanmıştır. Öğrencilerden elde edilen veriler, aritmetik ortalama, stan- dart sapma, t testi, tek yönlü Varyans Analizi, Kruskal Wallis H testi ve Mann Whitney U testi uygulanmıştır. Araçlara nadiren de olsa yolcu alındığı, bunun sonucu olarakta bazı öğrencilerin ayakta yolculuk yaptıkları ve yine nadiren de olsa şoförlerin öğrencilere kızdıkları sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
