The selection of diffusion distance for homogenization models in steels

Abstract
The diffusion distance for homogenization models in eight different steels was discussed and re-assessed due to the close packed dendritic arrangement. Generally it was found that if half of secondary dendrite arm is considered to use as diffusion distance, this value should be multiplied by a factor between 1.3 and 2 in order to obtain equal diffusion distance to the quarter of the primary arm spacing.

Sekiz farklı çelikte, homojenleştirme modellemesi için difüzyon mesafesinin seçimi tartışıldı ve sıkı paket dendritik düzene göre yeniden değerlendirildi. Genelde, ikinci dendrit kollarının yarısı difüzyon mesafesi olarak kullanılması düşünüldüğünde, bunun birinci dendrit kollarının dörtte birine eşit olabilmesi için, 1.3 ile 2 arasında bir katsayı ile çarpılması gerektiği bulundu.
