Abstract
The use and application areas of austempered ductile iron which make these materials attractive alternatives to forged steel have considerably increased in recent years. In this study, it has been given mechanical properties, advantages and limitations of these materials and shown some examples of their applications.

Dövme çeliğe alternatif malzeme olarak ortaya çıkan östemperlenmiş küresel grafitli dökme demirlerin kullanımı ve uygulama alanları son yıllarda oldukça artış göstermiştir. Bu çalışmada bu malzemelerin özellikleri, avantajları ve sınırlamalarına değinilerek, uygulama alanlarına örnekler verilmiştir.
