Re-Reading Marx within the Frame of Philosophical assumptions

Abstract

Burrell and Morgan describe the situations which based on, derived by or -altered and gained eclectic ways- philosophical approaches on the basis of social or natural science, on the assumptions about ontological, epistemological, methodological and human nature with/between "objectivism" and "subjectivism". In this case, objectivist approach is realist on the ontological nature; positivist on the epistemological nature; determinist in terms of human nature; and it is methodologically nomothetic. The subjectivist approach, on the other hand, is nominalist on the ontological nature; anti-positivist on the epistemological nature; voluntarist in terms of human nature; and it is methodologically ideographic. The aim of this study is to evaluate Marx's philosophical core within the dichotomy schematically suggested by Burrell and Morgan, and to analyze his literature on the basis of philosophical problems that is composed of issues concerning ontological, epistemological, methodological and human nature. Hypothetically, on which schematic plane Marx's point stands will be interrogated, and Marx's place within the world of thought are elaborated through his own conceptualization.

Burrell ve Morgan sosyal veya doğal bilimlerin temelindeki felsefi yaklaşımların dayandığı, türediği veya değiştirilerek eklektik bir biçime getirildiği durumları, "objektivizm" ve "sübjektivizm" sütunları ile/arasında ontoloji, epistemoloji, insan doğası ve metodoloji zeminlerinde açıklamaktadır. Bu durumda, objektivist yaklaşım, ontolojik açıdan realist, epistemolojik yönden pozitivist, insan doğası bakımından determinist ve metodolojik olarak nomotetiktir. Sübjektivist yaklaşım ise ontolojik olarak nominalist, epistemolojik açıdan anti-pozitivist, insan doğası düzleminde voluntarist ve metodolojik açıdan ideografiktir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Marx'ın düşünce sistemini, Burrell ve Morgan'ın şematik olarak sunduğu dikotomi içinde değerlendirmek, yazınını ontoloji, epistemoloji, insan doğası ve metodoloji matrisinden oluşan düşünsel sorunlar bağlamından çözümlemektir. Hipotetik olarak, Marx'ın hangi şematik düzlemde durduğu sorgulanacak; fikir dünyasındaki yeri kendi kavramsallaştırmaları üzerinden serimlenecektir.
