Abstract

The main purpose of the research is to determine the causality relations between the inequality in income distribution, human development index and economic growth variables in OECD. In this study, Panel Fisher causality test developed by Emirmahmuto÷lu and Köse (2011) was applied. According to the test results applied, there is a one-way causality relationship from the human development index and economic growth to the inequality in income distribution. The solution of the income inequality problem is a vital problem that cannot be left to the mercy of global organizations. Human-centered economic and social structure, which takes people to the center, cares about the public interest, can solution not only poverty and inequality but also many problems.
