Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the apple trees pests and beneficial Arthropoda species on the apple trees in Gülnar (Mersin) during the spring, summer and autumn of 2014-2015. In the this study, 26 pests and 13 beneficial Arthropoda species were revealed. Of these, Panonychus ulmi (Koch, 1836), Aphis pomi DeGeer, 1773, Eriosoma lanigerum (Hausmann, 1802), Tropinota hirta (Poda, 1761) and Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758) were determined as the most important harmful species. The first adult emergence time, population changes and active periods of Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758), which is economically important and the main pest species in in apple treesof this area, were determined. In addition, some information about the bioecology of the pest species examined was obtained.
