The seropositivity of toxoplasmosis in the females between 18-35 years old

Abstract
Toxoplasmosis which is commonly accured in the world has a high prevalence in the developing and developed countries. It is important especially in pregnant and immunnesupressive bodies. Owing to the overmentioned; aspect in this research, the existence of Toxo-IgG and Toxo-lgM antibodies by using ELISA is evaluated in the sera of 204 female patients who are under risk. In the result of research, we found 43,6 % positivity for Toxo-IgG and 2,4 % positivity for Toxo-lgM antibodies. This result shows that the high seropositivity of Toxoplasmosis is still an important problem in the public health of our country.
Özet
Tüm dünyada yaygın olarak görülen Toksoplazmoz, günümüzde gelişmekte olan ülkelerde olduğu gibi gelişmiş ülkelerde yüksek prevalansa sahiptir. Toksoplazmoz, özellikle gebelerde ve immünosüpressif kişilerde önem kazanmaktadır. Bu nedenle çalışmamızda risk altında yer alan 204 kadın hastanın serumunda ELİSA ile Toxo-lgG ve Toxo-lgM antikor varlığı araştırılmıştır. Toxo-IgG pozitifliği % 43.6 Toxo-lgM pozitifliği ise % 2.4 olarak saptanmıştır. Elde ettiğimiz yüksek seropozitiflik Toksoplazmoz 'un bölgemizde de önemli bir halk sağlığı sorunu olduğu göstermektedir.
