The effect of fracture hematoma on new bone formation

Abstract
The hematoma at a fracture site is known to be important for healling but its exact role is uncertain. We studied precise role of the fracture hematoma at five days after fracture of the rat femur to anterior chamber of the eye. In the same rat we used other eye for the control group and we enjected peripheral blood. Two of the five animals fiveday fracture hematoma produced hyalin cartilage but the others only connective tissue and vascularisation. In control groups we couldn't detect connective tissue and vascularisation. These results suggest that fracture hematoma has an inherent osteogenetic potencial.
Özet
Kırık hematomunun kırık iyileşmesi üzerinde önemli etkileri olduğu düşünülmektedir. Ancak kesin verilerle henüz gösterilememiştir. Biz deneysel olarak oluşturulan kırık hematomunun göz ön kamerası içine enjeksiyonu ile burada kemik oluşturma yeteneğini araştırdık. Beşinci gün kırık hematomunun transplante edildiği beş denekten ikisinde bir hafta sonra hiyalin kıkırdak oluşumu gözledik. Kontrol grubu olarak göz ön kamerası içine venöz kan enjekte ettiğimiz grupta kıkırdak ve kemik gelişimi izlenmedi. Çalışmamızın sonucunda kırık hematomunun kırık iyileşmesi sürecinde gerekli olduğunu ve kemik oluşturma yeteneğine sahip bulunduğunu düşünmekteyiz.
