Abstract

Concept of natural standpoint, which is essential for Husserl’s early philosophy and base of phenomenological reduction, demonstrates that phenomenological reduction cannot be a private language. This paper defenses the claim that Husserl’s conception of phenomenological reduction does not imply any private language although the objects of phenomenological reduction are inaccessible for other persons or other Egos. Any person who does not use language cannot perform a phenomenological reduction because perception and reflexion as the steps of phenomenological reductions require natural standpoint and a language.
