Abstract

The goal of this study was the determination of the static acute toxicity and the corresponding behavioral changes caused by Hg (II) chloride on Capoeta tinca (Heckel, 1843) living in Kirmir stream. The bio experiments were carried out with a pre experiment and three replicates. The 96-hour LC50 value of Hg (II) chloride on Capoeta tinca was found as 0.82 mg/l (0.74-0.89) according to Finney, 0.84 mg/l according to Behrens-Karber and 0.81 mg/l (0.75-0.89) according to Spearman-Karber. The increase in the toxic reagent concentration caused respiratory difficulties, tremors, imbalanced swimming patterns and sudden jerks in fish.

Özet

Bu çalışmada civa-II klorürün Capoeta tinca (Heckel, 1843) üzerindeki statik akut toksisitesi ve davranış değişimlerinin saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Ön deney ve üç tekrarlı olarak düzenlenen biyodeneylerden civa-II klorürün 96 saatlik LC50 değeri Finney’e göre 0,82 mg/l (0,74–0,89), Behrens-Karber’e göre 0,84 mg/l ve Spearman-Karber’e göre de 0,81 mg/l (0,75–0,89) olarak saptanmıştır. Toksik madde konsantrasyonu arttıkça balıklarda titremelerin, solunum güçlüklerinin, dengesiz yüzmelerin ve ani irkilme hareketlerinin arttığı gözlenmiştir.
